On my way to OCCED this morning I passed this tightrope walker. She was not very old but very good. She was walking and I think her father played the drum while her mother collected money. There was quite a big audience and I assume this is how this family earns it's money.
After yesterday today was quite a normal day.The children were all at home as it was 'Education Day' but no-one I spoke to could actually tell me what it was.I spent the morning with the preschool children and this afternoon I took Rabin,Sonia,Nina and Seina for extra activities. They really enjoy this and have asked me most days if that is what they are going to do.The alternative for them is 2 hours sleep. This afternoon they spent about an hour drawing and if I remember I will photograph them tomorrow,They are very good.
I then spent an hour with the girls struggling to make Origami wheels.
One thing I forgot to say yesterday is that it has not been all change. The Americans that were going to stay here and work at OCCED changed their mind when they got here and have gone somewhere else to do some counselling and are staying somewhere closer to where they are working.
The wall had another coat of paint today and the computer room and library has been started on.On Saturday(weather permitting) the wall is to be decorated. The OCCED board,Shruti,Kausalya,Reema ,Nilamber, the Didis, myself and last but not least, the children ,are all going to contribute their artistic talents.I haven't a clue what it will be like but I think it will be loads of fun!
I keep being told that the Monsoon has finished and then it rains. The air is different today though and a little cooler so hopefully by Saturday it will be all but over.
