Today was the AGM for OCCED.Haribol Ji my host was elected Chairman .Ganesh Ji has been appointed advisor to the board so thankfully he will still be very involved.I spent this morning with the preschool childre and school age girls and this afternoon with the boys.I wish there was more time in the day as I have not been able to spend that much time with the boys.However the next 2 days are holidays so I will be able to spend some good time with them.Hopefully Monday we will be painting.They are very good company although a little 'wild' at times.Typical boys actually!We spent part of the afternoon on the roof trying to fly a kite (without much success today)We will try again tomorrow.
Today is my last Saturday with the children and each day from now will be the last of something(until next time)I think it will be quite an emotional week.Each day I will have to remind myself of one of Ruth's favourite sayings.

I am not quite sure I can believe how much I have laughed and smiled in the last month.There is so much here that is sad and quite depressing but flying in the face of all that there are so many gentle,kind and generous people.I have been greeted with smiles everywhere I have been especially from the children I meet everyday on my walk to and from OCCED.Even when shopping or getting a Taxi the price is said with a hopeful grin that says'I wonder if I can get away with this?' and when I more than halve it the response is a laugh and a sideways nod of the head.Sometimes we compromise but I have only walked once when I had intended to get a Taxi as he wouldn't reduce it. I don't mind paying slightly over but I am not prepared to pay more than double what it should be even if it is only £1.80!
