Children playing and asleep

There was no yoga today as it was raining very hard.While writing this I have realised that I have not mentioned the family I am staying with.It is very good to be back here among them.Since last year there has been an addition to the family.Yavi is 9 months old and beautiful.She is Nilamber and Minisha's daughter.Indiver and Susmita have a daughter,Alya,who is just over a year.She is also beautiful.They are a lovely family and make me feel very at home.We have had power cuts on a frequent basis,usually early evening which at the moment are lasting about 2 hours.We have also run out of water on a few occasions .....and this is the rainy season!
I spent the first part of the morning singing with the children and then playing games with them.
I managed to talk to Shruti about Nina today and apparently she has some stones in her left kidney.Her urine test which will be done this week will cost 2500 rupees which is roughly £21.It's alot of money when you consider the home costs about £30 a day to run for 44 children.I have no idea yet what an operation costs.
This afternoon I managed to spend some time with the boys and helped some of them with their homework.I really enjoy being with them.They all have such a lovely sense of humour and it is really good to watch them helping each other,as do the girls,when one of them has a problem.They really do all look out for each other.
