I spent this morning with some of the Social Tours team and then went and had an iced coffee with Bipin to catch up on all that has happened here.I walked there from home.It seemed much further than I remembered but I think that was because I wasn't entirely sure I was going the right way.I was!I then walked back to OCCED . Shruti and I have found some Tikka powder and PVA glue so we are going to experiment tomorrow making paint.
All the underwear that I brought out has been sorted and shared out between the children. They were very pleased, so a huge thank you from the children.The money I brought out has been given to OCCED and again a big thank you for all your generous donations.None of what I have been able to do here would have been possible without all the contributions I have had. I think most of the money raised is going towards the education bill.
Today has been an odd day.I found out yesterday that Seina is to be adopted by an Italian couple.It is a good thing to be happening but they arrived this afternoon to see her for the first time and take her from the home tomorrow to spend 4 weeks in a hotel before going to Italy,without returning to the home.It feels very sudden but there had been a problem with her papers and normally they have a week to meet the children at the home daily but hand over day is tomorrow.I am so glad I was here to meet her new parents who are lovely and said they would keep in touch with us as her current sponsors.I hope they do.She really stole my heart last year!It is hard when you know something is for the best but also wish that it was different.
