I arrived at the orphanage at 9:50 this morning. It was much cooler this morning but got very hot and sticky this afternoon.I spent the morning with 9 of the older preschool children. We started with singing and they were very excited about' In Kathmandu there is a Zoo' to the tune of Old MacDonald. They were so enthusisatic about 'Kathmandu' and making the animal sounds.
Later on before lunch Kausalya put on some Nepali music for the children to dance to.They loved it.
I am about to spend the first of the donation money. The school children do not have raincoats and it is quite a priority especially during the monsoon so hopefully they will have them by the end of the week.
I spent part of the afternoon in the nursery playing with the under 2s and then helped the younger school boys with their homework when they got home. They are between 8 and 11 and they all have alot! They are so chatty and very cheeky.

  1. Just caught up with your blog and it continues to sound as wonderful as ever. You look amazing in your sari - I bet you continue to wear it back here. The flowers look beautiful - really exotic! Glad you are having such a wonderful time and that you are being made to feel so welcome - but people always warm to you and are drawn to you so it is no surprise to me. Continue to enjoy, keep taking the photos and keep writing on here - it is fantastic to read and keep up with all you are doing!! Lots and lots of love as always - take care!
