Today has been very busy and very rewarding.I spent the first 3/4 of an hour singing and concentrating on getting the children to say 'The' instead of 'D' so had them all sticking their tongues out.They laughed so much.I thought you would like to see a few images of the children you have all helped.I found out today that well qualified nurses in Nepal are ,in the scheme of things ,well paid. Your donations amounted to a years salary for a well qualified nurse and that doesn't include the money put into the computer fund.People and places kept telling me it was a lot of money but it wasn't until today that I realised how much.From the bottom heart Thank you !Seeing it in figures in Nepali Rupees was quite overwhelming.

This afternoon I went and spent some of it.To my amazement all of the picture books and story books are in English so I bought an assortment of Nepali story books so that Kausalya can read them stories.I also bought some work in alphabet and number books that have pictures and different activities in them (both English and Nepali) I think we went to every book shop in Kathmandu to get what I wanted.It is a 'very' lot of books and good quality and if they run out they can be sourced here so there won't be an issue replacing them.Anyway they should see them through until I come back!

I had my Friday meeting with social tours this afternoon and things are about to change.There are two American volunteers arriving on Tuesday also staying here.I think it will feel a little strange but very good for the children .The meeting this afternoon was very positive.Social Tours are such a lovely bunch of people.

After the meeting I went back to OCCED to deposit the heavy load of books and then went back to Shruti's for a cup of tea.She has invited me to lunch next Friday(lunch is about 10:00) for 8:00 so we can cook it together.Tomorrow afternoon we are going to try and find me a Kutah for Ruth and Tom's wedding.I think I had better leave it there for today as for me it is quite late.
